I have been touched by friends of ours that have a little girl that has been diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease. As of right now there are no proven treatments and there is no cure for Mitochondrial Disease. Our friends little girls name is Megan and she is 2 years old. And she is only one day younger than my son. I think this is why I am so compelled to do something. There is also another little girl named Megan that has Mito and her family has put together a benefit concert called "Music For Megan, Concert For A Cure." It is September 27th and once again Girly Girl Bows will be donating 10% of ALL sales from now (June 15th) through September 27th to the Music For Megan Benefit Concert to go to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. How amazing is this, last year the benefit raised over $50,000!!! Our family attended last year and had the best time. My kids loved the music and dancing around crazily.
